Wordfuse (Celebration Edition)

Interjection (inspired by the phrase just sayin'.)

A phrase used to describe the sheer unrestrained joy when one's DIY HELL blundertakings are finally FINALLY over!!!!! This unbridled elation may be accompanied by several fist pumps and a variety of other exaggerated celebratory behaviour. (And probably scotch. Lots. Of. Scotch.)

Hoorayin'

You need a vacation. I might be projecting.

I've done many DIY projects in my time and know the feeling of elation when a project is complete after much cursing under ones breath the blood, sweat and tears :-).

You deserve to get blotto.

The fist pump really is an unrated power ritual.

And so there was no house fire?

Fist pumping is okay when hoorayin', but if you add in crotch grabbin', then you're entering an entirely different level of hoorayin' that may or may not indicate gang loyalty, depending on the amount of scotch consumed and whether a twist was involved. Yeah, I know that makes no sense. My whimsical typing finger ghosts have manifested and completely taken over this comment. Sigh.

I'll use that phrase (I hope) when I finish cleaning the deck (sounds like a euphemism, I'll admit).
That I tore apart.
My son says I get bored easily in my old age.
He's probably right. I'm going to overhaul the engine in his car next.

Nice blog you've got. Now to this post...I didn't know that DIY projects ever had an ending? Is there something my Hubby's not telling me???

Good for you man. I know that feeling. Like Leo yelling Im king of the world! Cept with scotch.

@AC THAT is an accurate projection.
@Windsmoke Cursing. Check. Elation. Check.
@DSWS Yes. I. Do.
@LoC Well said.
@Nicole Nope. *fist pump*
@TCC Ha! Your ghost fingers are hilarious.
@Al You and I sound alike (no euphemism intended). I have a hard time relaxing too.
@laughingmom Thank you for stopping here. Yes. I'm sure your hubby's not lying to you; he must have a longer list than I do.
@Homemakerman The Titanic allusion is especially appropriate considering all the plumbing problems I had. And I really appreciate your phrase "Cept with scotch." That should be a toast.

I love this word so much. And scotch. Actually, not so much the scotch, but that's ok. My husband likes scotch, so that's almost the same. I think.

Congratulations. Celebration well deserved.

Just hoorayin' right with you, man.

DB Stewart said...

@wendy Thanks. And it wouldn't matter because you probably wouldn't remember anyway.
@Michael It burns me but in a good way sometimes.
@Cheeseboy Thank you.
@VinnyC Thanks man.

Oh Nubian. I thought you forgot about this!
